Clintsman, 93 Sunrise Sept. 3, 1912 - Sunset Nov. 14, 2005 Darleen I. Clintsman was born Sept. 3, 1912 and lived with her parents on a land-grant homestead in Adrian, Wash. She winessed the migration of the Indian tribes to pick Camas and her first contact was with the Indian children during that time. She moved to Priest River, Idaho with her parents during the flu epidemic of 1917/18, and lived there until 1963. Darleen attended the University of Idaho and received a teaching certificate. She married Ralph Clintsman in 1934 in Sppokane, Wash. After Ralph's death, she moved to Ore., Calif., Washin. and finally to Paradise Valley, Ariz. with her daughter Darleen and son-in-law, Roland. She taught in the Head Start Program in Saratoga, Calif., when they moved to Spokane, Wash. she was active in St. Johns Service Guild, A trustee of Fort Wright College Historical Museum on the Fort Wright Holy Names Campus and a member of Chapter DD, P.E.O. Darleen spent a portion of every year at their family cabin at Priest Lake. This journey began in the early days as a child camping with her parents around the Lake. She was always an avid reader, loved visits with family and friends and was especially fond of Autumn and the turning of the leaves. She was a dignified, graceful and unassuming woman that will leave a void in our lives. Darleen is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Darleen and Roland Lodge of Paradise Valley, Ariz.; grandson Ryan Lodge of Priest Lake, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Clintsman, Priest River, her parents, P.T. and Jessie Peach, Priest River, sister, Jessie Pearle Green, Portland, Ore. and brother, Pat Peach, Billings, Mont. Interment was held on Nov. 19 at the Evergreen Cemetery in Priest River, Arrangements were made by Sherman-Knapp Funeral Home. Memorials can be made in Darleen's name to your favorite charity.
