Isedor 'Izzy' Schmidt, 72

Isedor "Izzy" Schmidt, 72, passed away August 20, 2005 in Spokane, Wash. 
following a short illness.

Izzy was born September 13, 1932 in Fairfield, Montana the son of Jacob and 
Karolina (Kramer) Schmidt. After graduating from college with an Associates 
Degree he joined the US Army and served during the Korean conflict. He worked 
as an automobile mechanic for over 20 years and then as a salesman for nearly 
15 years.

Izzy loved fishing, gardening, golfing, and most of all spending time with his 
grandchildren. He also enjoyed taking trips in the motor home, traveling 
across the United States.

Survivors include his wife Nelda at the family home; two daughters, Karen 
Miramontez of Santa Rosa, Calif. and Kathy Chamblin of Albany, Ore.; two 
grandchildren; three brothers Herb, Arthur, and Clifford Schmidt; two sisters 
Almeda Pfeifle and Emma Jacobson. Survivors also include seven stepchildren; 
fourteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Besides his parents, Izzy was preceded in death by his first wife Mary Ann 
Schmidt; two brothers Gideon, and Bill; and a sister, Magie.

Memorial Services will be held on September 7, 2005 at Lafferty & Smith 
Funeral Home in Santa Rosa, Calif. Sherman-Knapp Funeral Home is in charge of 
arrangements.
