She passed away on Nov. 1, 2005 at her home in Ione, Wash. Dolly will be missed by many family, friends and other loved ones. Dolly was preceded in death by her husband Charlie of 53 years of marriage, and two of her children, Rick and Sherry. Dolly is survived by her three children, Charlie Jr. and his spouse Diana, Craig and his spouse Karen, and her daughter Terry. Dolly leaves a legacy. Fourteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and not to mention the many locals who called her "grandma pope." Her relationship with God was very important to her. This was obvious by the way she lead her life with the many God children she sponsored. She also had a gift of gab, that she used to spread the word of the Lord, from popular cliques of "No Ringy No Dingy," to "This is the day the Lord has made" which you heard every time you reached her answering machine. She attended Juliard School for Music. Music was a real passion of hers. She had a great love of art, painting was one of her favorite pastimes. Dolly used her gifts to serve the Lord, sometimes opening her home and others in serving her community. Dolly was very active in helping the elderly and she was one of the board members for the North Pend Oreille Relief Fund, Family Crisis Network, among other pet projects, too numerous to mention. A Rosary was said in her name at St. Bernard's Catholic Church on Nov. 6. A Memorial Mass was held at St. Bernard's on Nov. 7 with a graveside service and potluck following.
