Ellsworth, Sr., as they received more than one hundred relatives and friends who called to greet them on the occasion of their fiftieth wedding anniversary. So completely was the wedding date recalled that Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Brossard, Rigby, who were best man and bridesmaind for the Ellsworth's on Jan. 1, 1900, where present with the honored couple. Another special guest, who was also present at the time of the wedding, was W. H. Homer, Three Forks, Mont. Mr. Homer's father, W. H. Homer, Sr., performed the ceremony fifty years ago which united the Idaho couple. The guests called during the hours of 3 to 7 p.m., with a large number of out of town friends among those present. The rooms at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fisher Ellsworth, son and daughter in law, were decorated with artistic arrangements of flowers including roses, snap dragons and chrysanthemums. The mantle of the living room was adorned with golden candles and at either side were floral bouquets, tied with golden ribbons. Wedding Cake Center of attraction on the long serving tabel was a tiered wedding cake, decorated with yellow roses, gold leaves and a minature bridal couple with gray hair, the bride dressed in gold. A silver coffee service and crystal punch bowl were set at either end of the table with members of the family in charge of serving. Mrs. Ellsworth chose a gown of blue lace, accented with gold accessories and an orchid corsage for the occasion. A number of lovely gifts were received by the honored couple, including a television set from the immediate family. Guests signed a special book as they arrived. All five of the couple's children and six of the eight grandchildren were present. A daughter, Miss Mabel Ellsworth, formerly of Washington, D. C., but recently transferred to Los Angeles is leaving Tuesday for her new position with another daughter, Mrs. C. P. Anderson and granddaughter Ellen, Piedmont Calif. Sons of the honored couple include: Fisher, Jack and Frank Ellsworth of Idaho Falls. Captain Fred R. Ellsworth, twin brother of Frank, was lost in action in World War II and a daughter, Edith Alice, died in infancy in 1908 at Menam. Bentley W. Pope, Los Angeles, father of Mrs. Frank Ellsworth, Jr., attended the event and he will leave Tuesday to return to his home. Mr. and Mrs. Ellsworth, Sr., will leave Friday for Oakland. Frank Ellsworth, above, were honored Sunday on the occasion of their fiftieth wedding anniversary at the hom of a son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Fisher Ellsworth, 595 East Thirteenth. The pioneer Idaho couple, well known here, lived in this area a number of years before taking up residence at Oakland Calif.
