The body was shipped here and funeral services will be announced later. Mrs. Brant was born in Crawford County, Illinois, March 23, 1848. Her family moved to Missouri about 1858, and here she grew to womanhood. She was married to John L. Brant in Ringold County, Iowa, in 1872. The family resided in Iowa until 1899 when they moved to Wellington, Kans. A year later they came to Idaho, locating at Bonners Ferry, where they have since resided. Mr. Brant, however, engaged in farming near Newman Lake, Wash., and it was there in 1909 that he passed away. Mrs. Brant is survived by seven children; Mrs. A. E. Aldridge, Mrs. S. C. Swartwood, L.B. Brant and Will Brant, all of this district; Mrs. Fred Early, Carter, Mont.; Mrs. Geo. Case, LaGrande, Ore., and I. J. Brant of Clarks Fork, Idaho. Another son, Orville Brant, was killed in action in France during the World War. The Herald joins with the many friends of the family in extending heartfelt sympathy in their bereavement.
