H. Brant Services Are Held Monday Funeral services for Leonard Harvey Brant, age 77, who passed away suddenly at his home last Thursday afternoon, were held from the Morse Funeral Home, Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Elder Henry Miller of the Seventh Day Adventist church officiated and interment was in Grandview cemetery. R. N. Soderling sang two songs, “Beyond the Sunset” and “Sunrise.” He was accompanied by Mrs. Ferne Crowley. Pallbearers were Lute Kuntz, John Plato, James Chance, Sr., Ed Doyle, Claude Chappell and Charles Powers. Mr. Brant was born in Ringgold County, Iowa, April 25, 1873, and came to Idaho for a visit in 1898. He was attract3ed by the country and moved here from Iowa in 1900 and has made his home at Bonners Ferry since. On July 10, 1929, he was married to Caroline Robinson. He served as road overseer for several years but during the latter years of his life engaged in farming and orcharding. The deceased is survived by his widow, Caroline, one son, Leonard Corwin, and four sisters, Mrs. A. Aldridge and Mrs. S. C. Swartwood of Bonners Ferry. Mrs. Fred Early of Great Falls, Mont., and Mrs. George Case of California. Those from out of town attending the funeral were Mrs. Murrell Robinson and Mr. And Mrs. Robert Himes of Spokane, Mr. And Mrs. Corwin Robinson of Wenatchee, Mr. And Mrs. George Brown and family of Moses Lake and Mr. And Mrs. Hubert Doolittle of Priest River.
