Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2003 at 2 p.m. with interment following in the Grandview Cemetery, Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Allan was born on June 30, 1937 in Eatonia, Saskatchewan, Canada to Edwin and Anna (Dietrich) Bredy. After his education, he served in the Army, Navy and Air Force, which he completed 13 years in the Air National Guard (Air Force Reserve). Allan retired from the service as a Master sergeant in the U. S. Air Force and served during the Vietnam Conflict from 1963-1967. He also worked on the police force in Washington for 15 years and at various jobs in logging and sawmills. In May of 2002 he met Winnie Chaney, and they were married on Nov. 2, 2002 in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Survivors include his wife Winnie Breedy of Nales, Idaho, mother Anna Bredy of Bonners Ferry, Idaho; sister Joyce Aubert of Salmon Arm, B.C., Canada; two sons; Allan R. Bredy of Singapore and Brian Bredy of Bellingham, Wash.; two daughters; Cheryl Knapp and Kim Kirby, both of Bellingham, Wash., and several grandchildren. The family suggests memorial be sent in care of the family at HCR 01, Box 246 E, Naples, Idaho, 83847, or to the Panhandle State Bank, c/o Allan Bredy Memorial.
