Died March 22, 2002 after gallant fight against cancer. The daughter of Edward and Mary Parker Vold, she was born Oct. 19, 1924 in the Cow Creek District of Boundary County, Idaho. She graduated from Bonners Ferry High School in 1942 and then attended Lewiston Normal School for two years receiving her teaching certificate. Mrs. Butler taught school in Battle Ground, Wash. Orchard Avenue Elementary School in Spokane and then in Lind from 1946 to 1949. She married Lloyd M. Butler June 8, 1947. Mrs. Butler was a representative for Avon for 35 years. Through the years, she was active in the Girl Scout program and worked with the Linda Float Association. Surviving her is her husband Lloyd at the family home; two daughters, Iris Hill and husband Rd of Cheney, Wash. And Violet Holland of Lind; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Betty (Mary E.) Sands of Blanchard, Id., two nieces and one nephew. Funeral services were held in Ritzville, Wash. With internment at the Parker Family Cemetery in Boundary County, Id.
