He was born Oct. 11, 1925 in Elmira. Jack entered the U. S. Army Dec. 14, 1943 and received an honorable discharge April 26, 1946. He served wit the co. 1-387th infantry in the European and Asia-tic Pacific theatres of operations. During his time he operated jeeps and trucks up to a two-and-one-half ton capacity, hauling materials, supplies and personnel. Jack is survived by his wife Patty, his children Mari Lynn Christian, Colorado Springs, Two sons, Jackie and Kevin, Wyoming, a brother Jim of Bonners Ferry, a brother, Bill and mother, Gertrude of Spokane, and a sister, Elsie Eastlund of the Tri-Cities area. He is also survived by seven grandchildren. He will always be remembered by his many nieces and nephews as “Uncle Jack.” He loved little children, dogs, flowers, his garden, camping and he loved talking to people.
