Carlson Thelma B. Carlson, young wife of Carl Carlson, of the lower river district, passed away Sunday evening about six o’clock. Mrs. Carlson had given birth to a baby girl on April 13, and had developed scarlet fever, which, in her weakened condition caused her death. Graveside services were held in Grandview cemetery Tuesday afternoon. Rev G. Gabrielson, pastor of Trinity Lutheran church, officiating. Thelma B. Ketcham was born at Bonaparte, Ia., March 14, 1909. She resided there with her parents until last year. On last June 6 she was married to Carl Carlson, the wedding taking place at Fairfield, Ia. Shortly after their marriage the couple came to Bonners Ferry to reside on the ranch conducted by Mr. Carlson and his mother, Mrs. Mary Carlson. Besides her husband and the baby girl, Mrs. Carlson is survived by her parents and a half brother and half sister residing at Bonaparte. During her brief residence here she made many friends who deeply regret her untimely death. She was possessed of an unusually cheerful disposition which endeared her to all who made her acquaintance.
