Carlson, 61 Brother Edward C. Carlson (Fast Ed) went home to be with the Lord early Friday morning, Feb. 25, 2005. Ed cut short his annual trip to the southland after it was learned that he had pancreatic cancer. Ed returned to Washington and was staying with Mike and Karin Ryan, while undergoing medical treatment. Ed passed very peacefully at the Ryan home Friday morning and is in the arms of his loving Savior Jesus Christ today. Ed was 61 years young and was a long time resident of Bonners Ferry. He is survived by his sister Carla of Oregon. Ed joined the Christian Crusaders Ministry in 1987 becoming a patch holder that year. He was a licensed minister and was ordained in 2004. Ed was an Elder in the Christian Crusaders Ministry. Ed also was chaplain at the Boundary County Jail in Bonners Ferry and an active member in his local church. Fast Ed will always be remembered as a man who loved the Lord Jesus Christ, he was a loyal friend and was loved by all who met him. Ed came up the hard way and built a life for himself that few men have. He loved his mountain, his home, his friends, his freedom and most of all he loved his Lord Jesus. Ed also loved to play and was always up to something. Many of us were the object of his special affection and we loved it.
