On Aug. 1, 1920. She passed away peacefully in her sleep Aug. 28, 2002 at the age of 82. She has joined bill, her beloved husband of 55 years in heaven. Bill died in 1995. The main places they lived were Payette, Id.; Spokane, Wash.; Bonners Ferry, Id.; Sisters, Ore.; and Buhl, Id. She also followed bill wherever he was stationed during WWII. She was an excellent watercolor artist, but too shy to sell any of her paintings, so her family has the good fortune to have and enjoy them. She had always been a churchgoer. She grew up in the Missouri Synod Lutheran Church and during these last years has enjoyed attending Treasure Valley Baptist Church because of the friendly people and because the preaching reminded her of the preaching she heard as a young girl. In these declining years, her favorite thing to do was to go to church each week, and she attended whenever possible. We wish to thank the people of Ashley Manor for their loving care this past year. Kay is survived by her son, Bret Cunningham of Salt Lake City, Utah and his wife Raini; and by Kim Aldridge of Boise, Id., her husband, Bob, their children, Heather Zimmerman (husband Scott and their three children), Kristen Wells (husband Chad and their four children), and Brian Aldridge. A graveside service was held at the Meridian Cemetery Aug. 30, 2002.
