Private services will be held. Hubert was born to Hubert Dillard, Sr. and Edith (Anderson) Dillard on Nov. 6, 1917 in coon Rapids, Iowa. He graduated from Lead High School in south Dakota in 1936. He owned and drove trucks until he was inducted into the Army in 1942. On Feb 4, 1944 he married Myrtle Jane (Bobbie) Straight. He was shipped overseas on Feb. 14 of that year. During the war he served in the 76th General Hospital and spent time in Belgium in WWI. At the end of the war he returned and settled in Richland, Wash. And drove shuttle bus for Dupont in the Hanford area. Jr. and Bobbie had four children over the next 10 years and relocated from the Tri-Cities to Northern Idaho numerous times. In 1959 he and his family moved and took over management of the H&H Truck Stop in Athol, Idaho where he stayed until 1964.After that he worked a few different places in his area until his retirement in 1979. Jr. was a devoted husband and father and will mill him dearly. Survivors include his wife Bobbie of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, sister Donna Matsumoto of Richland, Wash.; three sons; Donald Dillard of Sagle, Idaho; one daughter Darlene Pinkerton of Bonners Ferry, Idaho and numerous grand and great-grandchildren.
