A memorial service for Bruce Dugal was held Saturday Aug 31, 2002 at Grandview Cemetery in Bonners Ferry with military rites by the American Legion Post #55. Bruce was born in Okanogan, WA on Jan 17, 1919. He had lived in Moyie Springs since 1951. Bruce came to North Idaho to work for Moyie River Lumber Company, which later became Louisiana Pacific. He retired from L.P. in 1981. Mr. Dugal was a WWII veteran, training at Farragut. He was a board member of Northern Lights, past Commander of the American Legion and an active member until his death. He immensely enjoyed golf and his family. Survivors include his wife, Georgia, at home; daughters Echo and George Schuon of Coeur d'Alene, and Terri Stasko and family of Medical Lake; Greg and Kelly Ambrose and family, and Scott and Tammi Ambrose of Phoenix AZ, and Rick Dicken of Seattle, WA; 9 grandchildren, including Tim Turnbull of Coeur d'Alene, Barry Turnbull of Elko, NV, Tracy Turnbull of Coeur d'Alene and 7 great grandchildren. Memorial denotations may be made to Hospice of Boundary County or Senior Center.
