Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002 at 1 p.m. at the Bonners Ferry Funeral Home Chapel. He was born Sept. 18, 1905 in Spearfish, S.D. and raised in Custer, S.D., where he met and married the love of his life, Lola Dewitt on April 30, 1931. They were married for 65 years. Wayne worked for Mt. Power for several years and then contracted to Farragut. Loving North Idaho, he moved his family to Bonners Ferry in 1942 and went to work for General Telephone Company, retiring after 20 years of service. Wayne owned a small farm in Naples where he raised horses and cattle and nine kids (one set of twins). He and his wife were members of the Sandpoint Christian Center in Sandpoint and in later years, attended the Assembly of God of Bonners Ferry. He spent the last year of his life as a resident in the Boundary Community Hospital Extended Care Facility in Bonners Ferry, to which the family is extremely grateful for their excellent care of Wayne's needs. Wayne appreciated their friendship and loving kindness. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lola, and two grandchildren. He is survived by his six sons and three daughters, Lyle and Nora Goding, Luther, Mich., Maxine and Ken Kingston, Sandpoint, Philip Goding, Bonners Ferry, David and Betty Goding, Newcastle, Wash., Ralph and Beverly Goding, Sagle, Idaho, Clyde and Kathy Goding, Potlatch, Idaho, Lois and Jim Carlin, Everett, Wash., Paul and Betty Goding, Kennewick, Wash, and Pauline Battien, Spokane, Wash.; 30 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Wayne was a man who loved god with all his heart and he will be truly missed, but the family is not grieved because they know that he has finally gone home to see his wife and to be with Jesus, the Savior of his soul.
