Services will be held at a later date. Joyce was born July 26, 1930 in Colchester, Illinois to Herman and Grace Jefferson. She grew up, attended schools, and graduated high school in Quincy, Ill. Joyce married John Harmon on May 4, 1952 in Quincy. Joyce was a loving mother and supportive wife. She moved around the country when John served as a sergeant in the Marine Corp and border patrol agent. The family settled in Bonners Ferry in 1959. Joyce enjoyed playing Bridge and belonged to two Bridge Clubs. She also enjoyed golfing with the ladies group at Mirror Lake. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, John Harmon, of Bonners Ferry, Idaho; two sons, Tim (Sue) Harmon, Lake Wylie, SC, and Dan Harmon, Seattle, Wash.; two grand daughters, Desiree (Tom) Florio, Hampstead, NC, and Danielle (Cole) Burton, Pikeville, NC; one great-grandson, John Thomas Burton, Pikeville, NC; three sisters, Ann, Sandra, and Pamela; and three brothers, Bill, Jack, and Chuck.
