C., passed away September 17, 2002 in Creston after suffering a stroke one week ago. She was born Dec. 22, 1916 in Nobleford, Alberta and as a young girl received her education at Nobleford, Lethbridge and Creston. Margaret was married to Elmer Kelson in 1946. They farmed for over 25 years in the United States on a farm just seven miles south of the Canadian border. After retirement, they build a home in Creston where Maggie lived for the past 25 years. Margaret’s principal hobbies were gardening, fishing and taking care of her three cats. She was predeceased by her husband, Elmer Kelson, in 1994 and lost her only child, Carol Kelson, who died unexpectedly in 1963. Maggie is survived by her step-son, Richard Kelson of Bonners Ferry, Id.; a brother, Harley Brady of Lethbridge, Alberta; several nieces and nephews and seven step-grand children. A graveside memorial service was held at the Porthill, Idaho Cemetery Saturday, Sept. 21.
