F. Kinnear Passes Away Funeral Services Held Monday --- Large Crowd Attends The funeral services fro William F. Kinnear, who died here last Thursday night, were held from the Crouch chapel Monday morning at 10 o'clock. Rev. Dow DeLong, pastor of the local Methodist church, officiating. The seating capacity of the chapel was insufficient to accommodate the large crowd of friends of the family who came to pay their last respects to a former Bonners Ferry boy. The casket was heaped with beautiful floral tributes. A choir composed of Mrs. J. C. Vernon, Mrs. A. T. Aronson, Mrs. Ray C. Johnson, Mrs. E. B. Campbell and C. W. King, with Mrs. B. C. Witwer, at the organ, sang "Lead Kindly Light" and "Abide With Me." Interment was in Grandview cemetery. The following acted as pall bearers: W. T. James, O. F. Howe, Allen Bruce, Geo. R. Causton, Wm. McClocklin, Howard Kent. Among the out-of-town relatives to attend the services were Dr. and Mrs. H. F. Hughes and their daughter, Lorraine; Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Diehl and daughter, Eileen, all of Spokane, and Mrs. Rose Lemke of Salem, Ore. William Franklin Kinnear was born at Endicott, Wash., October 20, 1889. He came to Bonners Ferry when but an infant and grew up in the community. Graduating from the local schools, he went to Spokane and completed a course in the Blair business college. Returning here after completing his education he entered the hardware business with his brother, Harry. he was also associated with H. O. Jackson in the hardware and grocery business, and later conducted a clothing store here. He was married in Spokane, Wash., in January, 1909, to Miss Iva JaQuitte, of Newport, Wash. Of this union two children were born, Betty Lee and William Franklin Junior. Mrs. Kinnear passed away in 1918 during the influenza epidemic. In 1920 he married Miss Lillian Winship at Harrison, Wash., and soon after left here to make his home in Yakima, Wash., where he engaged in the real estate business. In 1923 he left Yakima and moved to what was then the newest town i the west, Longview, Wash., where he again took up the real estate business. He also became interested in a confectionery store and news stand, selling out his interests in these only a short time before returning here about three weeks ago. His health had been failing for the past year, and shortly after his return he became bedfast and grew steadily worse. He passed away last Thursday about midnight at the home of his parents on the south bench. Surviving relatives are the widow and two children, Betty lee and William; the father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Kinnear; one sister, Mrs. H. O. Jackson, and one brother, Harry B. Kinnear, all of Bonners Ferry. "Bill," as he was familiarly know among his friends here, was of a quiet, kindly disposition, and extremely popular in the community.
