She went to be with the Lord on May 14, 2005 at home with her family after an extended battle with cancer. Vigil Service will be on Thursday, May 19, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. in the Bonners Ferry Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Ann’s Catholic Church on Friday the 20th of May at 11:00 a.m. with internment following in the Grandview Cemetery. Linda was born in Cottonwood, Idaho on January 12, 1959 to Darrel and Jeannette Larson. She traveled with her parents to various locations, as her father was in the Air Force. As a teenager Linda moved back to Bonners Ferry with her mother and graduated from Bonners Ferry High School in 1977, during her senior year she married Wayne Carlson. Linda and Wayne began a family and continued to live in Bonners Ferry until her death. Linda is survived by her husband of 28 years, Wayne, three children, Kyle Carlson, Monica Humphrey and Amanda Carlson. Kyle and wife Jypsy live in Wichita, KS and have three children, Caleb, Taylor, and Bishop. Monica and husband Theadore live in Corpus Christi, Texas. Amanda Carlson lives in Sandpoint with son Jonathon. Her father Darrel Larson and wife Laurie of Post Falls, Mother, Jeanette Sweet and husband Ray of Bonners Ferry, sister Jeanie Larson of Bonners Ferry, brother Bruce Larson of San Jose, Calif., brother Tom Larson of Blanchard, brother Anthony Florea of Post Falls, sister Crystal Fox of Post Falls, brother Wes Larson of Spokane. She is also survived by family loved one Clarence (Sonny) Florea and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nephews, Nieces and other relatives and friends. Celebrating life through her faith in God is how Lind Gail Carlson lived day to day. The thread that held so many fabrics of family life and her spiritual family together. It is not a coincidence that her favorite moment in life was when she was knitting, sewing, crocheting, quilting and any form of mending. Her desires in life was to have memories with her family and that she did proceeding her joining the heavenly choir. Linda’s faith was upper most in her life, as a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church she loved worshiping and servicing the church and giving to others. A long time member of the choir, Linda used her Godly gift of singing and playing her guitar to inspire and comfort so many spiritually. Second to her faith was the love of the outdoors. Linda yearned for the smell of the campfire, the sights and sound of the forest and the short strolls along the waters edge. She especially enjoyed the times her entire family was at her side. Linda spent hours in her Rose Garden tending to the beauty that they presented.
