   Bill “Squeaky Bill” Nieman, 64, died July 7, 2006.  He was born April 12,
1942 in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, to Douglas and Ruth (Washburn) Nieman.
   In 1973, Bill married Jacki Plymale in Columbia Falls, Mont.
   Bill lived in Columbia Falls for 20 years before moving to Sweet Home, Ore.
For 10 years.  Then he moved to Cottage Grove, Ore.
   Bill graduated from Bonners Ferry High School and was a logger most of his life.
   He served in the National Guard and was a member of the GPAA, the LDMA and
the Bohemia Mining Association.
   He enjoyed mining, prospecting, making wine and he loved his family
get-togethers.  
   Bill is survived by his wife, Jacki; daughters Shannon Bosch and Monica Doyle
of Idaho, Theresa Lounsbury of Germany, Jennelle DeArtey of Arizona and Stefani
Wentworth of New Hampshire; sons David Nieman of Washington, William D. Nieman
of Italy and Robert Nieman of Cottage Grove; two brothers, Stuart and Joe
Nieman; three step-sisters, Marilyn Baumann, Audrey Spaulding and Wand LeFebvre;
and 17 grandchildren.
   He was preceded in death by his parents and a step-brother, Mike Cossairt.
   Visitation was Wednesday, July 12, 2006 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the
Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel.
   A memorial service will be held Today, July 13, 2006, at 6 p.m. at the
Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel.  Interment will be at the Porthill Cemetery in
Porthill, Idaho.
   Memorial contributions may be made to the Monica Pilson Medical Fund, care of
the Cottage Grove Umpqua Bank.
