Pemp, Donald J., 48 
   Funeral services for Donald J. Pemp, 48, of Enid, Oklahoma and son of former
Pastor of the First Southern Baptist Church, were held Dec. 13, 2003 in the
Henninger-Allen Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kevin Choate officiating. 
Burial followed in the Hennessey Cemetery.
   Donald was born in Enid, Oklahoma on Feb. 1954 to Donald R. and Joyce
(Tarrant) Pemp.  He died suddenly Dec. 10, 2002 at his home following a fire.
   He graduated “top boy” in his high school in 1972 in Burleson, Texas and was
Golden Glove Champ in 1972 at Fort Worth, Texas.
   He attended Tarrant County Junior college in Fort Worth and the University of
Texas in Arlington, Texas.
   He and his family lived in Libby, Mont. For nine years where he was an avid
outdoorsman.  Donald also wrote a weekly column of satire for the Montanian.  He
was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church and was active in the Singles Sunday
School Class.
   Donald is survived by his son, Daniel; his parents, Donald R. and Joyce Pemp,
all of Enid; his former wife, Brenda Lee Garrett of Enid; two brothers, Joseph
B. Pemp of Bonners Ferry, ID and MSgt Robert W. Pemp of Travis AFB, Calif.; and
two sisters, Susan Drinkard of Sandpoint, ID and Barbara Pemp of Tucson, AZ.
   He was preceded in death by has maternal and paternal grandparents.
   Those who wish may make memorial fund contribution in his memory to the
Daniel Pemp Educational Fund.  The funeral home will serve as custodians of the
fund.
