Dorthy Mae Pierson, 89
   Dorothy Mae Pierson died at the age of 89 in her home at the Life Care Center
in Sandpoint.
   Dorothy was born on December 13, 1917 in Duluth, Minn., to Edwin and Ida Mae
(Leonard) Berg.
   Dorothy is survived by her two sons, Scott G. Pierson, Rick W. Knutsen, her
grandchildren and her past husband, Jack Pierson.
   Dorothy resided at the Restorium in Bonners Ferry prior to her move to
Sandpoint last year.  She loved the area and all the folks who gave her such
great and living care and enjoyed attending the local First Baptist church.  She
had an active enjoyment of current events the performing and visual arts. 
Dorothy had a witty and dry sense of humor of life and politics which we will
miss.
