Schuie was born March 26, 1910 in Pisguah, Ill. And grew up in Avon, Ill. He married Judy Peterson on Oct. 10, 1936. They had one daughter, Connie Schuhart McGlothern. They moved to Bonners Ferry, Idaho in 1944 where they made their lifelong home of 57 years. Schuie taught auto mechanics for the Bonners Ferry High School for one year; and owned his own refrigeration and air conditioning business, both commercial and residential. He was highly respected in the community as a business man and as a person. He was a marksman shot in the A.R.A., and was one of the founders of the Bonners Ferry Gun Club. He loved hunting and fishing. After retirement he excelled in woodworking making many lovely items for family and friends. He was very proud of where he lived and his friends and family. He is survived by his wife, Judy, and daughter Connie. Three grandchildren, three great grandchildren and two younger sisters of five siblings.
