The family moved to Idaho in the mid 1930’s as a result of drought in the Midwest. The family settled in the Bonners Ferry area. She married Herman Sinclair in 1938. Three children were born to this marriage; Melvin, Boise, Idaho; Judy, Sierra Vista, Arizona and Donna, Post Falls, Idaho. She was pre-deceased by her husband in 1967. Cora is survived by 3 surviving sisters, Etta, Myra “Babe”, and Betty, 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In the fall of 1968 she enrolled at the University of Idaho and was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate in 1972. Cora taught Latin and English at Capital High School in Boise for ten years. She returned to Bonners Ferry for a few years. Cora later moved to Post Falls and lived with her daughter, Donna. She passed away in Bonners Ferry, March 27, 2006. Her main joy and concern were the affairs of her family and their well being. Her abilities to sew and garden will always be remembered, and in her later years, her abundant flower gardens. She will be missed by all who knew her.
