Rev. P. E. Pike officiating. Interment was made in Grandview cemetery. Pallbearers were; Joe Sharpe, W. C. Caughey, J. C. Barto, Chas. McGlockin, James McGlockin and Julius Magusen. Mrs. Spurgeon was born at Mount Carroll, Illinois, April 7, 1856. After her marriage in Illinois, she and her husband lived in Kansas, Iowa, and North Dakota, coming to Bonners Ferry 18 years ago from Oakes, North Dakota. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs.. Rosie Harness of Oakes, North Dakota, Lillie Lewis, of Britton, South Dakota, and Mrs. George Medford of Bonners Ferry; three sons; George, of Bonners Ferry, Ward, of Oakes, North Dakota, and Roy, at Drain, Oregon; one brother, Ward Cullens, of Yelm, Washington, 36 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren. Thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren in are in the armed forces. The deceased has a host of friends, all of whom join in extending sympathy to the bereaved relatives.
