Born October 3, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois, he moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin until 1959 when he moved to Bonners Ferry, Idaho at the age of 13. Bob graduated from Bonners Ferry High School in 1964. He attended the University of Idaho for three semesters before being drafted into the service and spent four years in the Navy aboard the USS Long Beach. He later earned a bachelors degree in Journalism Advertising at the University of Idaho. He worked for the US Postal Service, Sims Implement, in real estate, owned Milepost Woodworks, and as a counselor at Rocky Mountain Academy. For many years he illustrated philosophical cartoons that were published in the Bonners Ferry Herald. He enjoyed sports, especially baseball, as well as hiking in the Selkirks, photography, and woodworking. He is survived by his daughter Jessica and husband Dan Owen, son Jacob and wife Trina Venard, wife Nancy, mother Laura, sister Mary Clara, and his brothers Will and Paul. He is preceded in death by his father, Dan, brother Dan II, and brother Erik. Services were held September 11. Private internment will be held at a later date.
