He was born at Bronson, Kans. on March 2, 1888, the son of James and Emily Holman Wallace. While an infant he moved with his parents to Blaine, Wash., then to Missouri at the age of eight. He later went to Lincoln, Ark., where he grew up and received his education. On Dec. 25, 1909, he and Eva Fulgham were married at Lincoln. In 1912 he moved with his family to Culver, Ore., and in 1916 they moved to Emmett, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his wife on Jan. 9, 1919. He married Georgia Fulgham at Boise on Jan 9, 1920, and she preceded him in death in November 1923. He made his home at Emmett until 1942, then moved to Bonners Ferry and resided here until the time of his death. He was engaged in farming all of his life. He was a member of the Baptist church and a past member of the IOOF lodge. Surviving are six sons, J. Albert and Guy Wallace, both of Monitor, Wash., Boyd and A. R. (Hap) Wallace, both of Bonners Ferry, L. C. Wallace, Cherry Point, N.C., and Robert Wallace of Spokane; a daughter, Mrs. Ray (Betty) Roach of Hayward, Calif.; also 17 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. One son, Lew E. Wallace, preceded him in death in 1920. Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Hillcrest memorial chapel, with Rev. Lee Brock officiating. Pallbearers were Ralph Anglen, Guy Patchen, Stanley Sweet, Dayton Douglas, Ralph Delfs and Jim Schuon. Internment was in Grandview cemetery.
