She is survived by her three daughters, Jodi Meddock (Rick) of Newman Lake, WA, Kelly Evenoff (Hank) of Post Falls, ID and Wendy Foster (Bill) of Lake Forest Park, WA; son, Gary Woods (Anita) of Bonners Ferry, ID; sister, Diane Uthe of Alameda, CA; brother, Herbert Rumburg (Laurie) of Deer Park, WA; Aunt, Lois King of Spokane and ten grandchildren, Marci Gannon (Joe), Reggie Meddock, Anna Sheldon, Kari Sheldon, Conner Evenoff, Justin Woods, Jesse Woods, Jami Adames, Kelsey Adames and Mariah Foster. She was born in Spokane and was a head cheerleader and graduate at Lewis and Clark High School. She married Earnie Woods in 1960 and made their home in Bonners Ferry. She worked as an administrative assistant in the office at the L.P. mill. She participated in community activities, serving as president of the local chapter of the Jay-C-Ettes, a competitive bowler and talented pianist. In the mid-80's she moved back to Spokane, where she has been working for many years as a valued employee for Oxarc. Arlene enjoyed traveling with her Aunt Lois, tending to her garden and yard and watching car races at Stateline and on TV. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren participate in school events and sports. Arlene overcame hardships, addictions and enjoyed a happier and healthier life with her children, grandchildren and friends. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, August 16, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. outside the Fairmount Memorial Park, Sunset Mausoleum, Spokane with Pastor Ray Ruef officiating with private inurnment at the cemetery.
