A. R. issued an order calling the veterans' attention officially to the president's death and ordered that the several charters be draped in mourning. The people are filled with profoundest grief. This afternoon at the city hall the directors of the Canyon county fair held a rousing meeting. T. K. Little, Geo. Little, Sumner Dee and D. D. Campbell were added to the list of fair directors and the following committees were named: Committee on grounds and baseball -- T. K. Little and W. R. Selree. Executive committee -- E. K. Hayes, T. K. Little, S. W. Dee. Building committee -- V. D Hannah and J. C. Geisler. Privilege committee -- S. W. Dee, Geo. Little and R. A. Cowden. S. S. Foote presided and J. C. Geisler acted as secretary pro tem. A. E. Gipson was appointed permanent assistant secretary. The executive committee takes charge of the (unreadable). D. D. Campbell is substituted for Mayor Sebree in the (unreadable) committee, and the directors have decided to meet three times a week, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays till the opening of the fair. Prof. W. J. Boone, president of the college of Idaho, has returned from a visit in Pennsylvania, having been called to the bedside of his father. His father is much improved in health. C. P. Hartley of Boise Valley received a bronze medal for his exhibit at the Paris fair. The prize was won on apples. D. D. Campbell is building a handsome addition to his residence property on the boulevard.
