J. A. Fennell of the Boise firm of architects, Wayland & Fennell, that has drawn the plans for Canyon county’s proposed new courthouse at Caldwell, was a Payette visitor the first of the week. The plans are pronounced to be first class by all that have seen them and if the people vote to have the courthouse built in accordance with them Canyon county will have one of the finest buildings in the state in point of convenience and appearance. The plans provide for a building of brick and stone, two stories, with a basement underneath for the heating apparatus. The first floor is to be devoted to office purposes while the second will be given up to the judiciary department with the exception that the county superintendent’s office will be on that floor. A. B. Moss of this city is one of a committee of five appointed by the commissioners to look over the plans to the end that the best possible be secured.
