A. Cowden's new brick block on Kimball avenue. Tom Shields has returned from a few days' visit with his parents in Boise. Ed Sholtz of Parma is in the city. The board of directors of the Pioneer Irrigation district was in session today and adopted the report setting forth the plans of irrigation and water distribution. There are about 26,000 acres in the district that are assessable, and to complete the proposed plans the possible cost will be $8 per acre. As soon as the state engineer approves the report a bond election will be called, and it is expected the election will occur about the 16th of September.
