Sad Death at Roswell
 
Parma, June 5 -- One of the saddest afflictions that could overtake a man came 
to George K. Allen of Roswell in the death of his young wife, Alice, sunday 
morning, June 2, 1901, at 3:25.  Little more than a year ago they were united 
in marriage.  Everything possible was done to save her life but the cruel 
disease meningitis had a deadly grasp.  she was one of the truest and most 
devoted of wives as well as a loving sister and daughter.  The mother and a 
brother of the grief-stricken husand arrived Monday night from Madelia, Minn., 
and the interment occurred Tuesday morning.
