Connel, residing about a half mile south of Burley at 7 p.m. It appears the little one had been playing on the lawn of the Connel country home with her father near at hand. The mother was in the house doing her work at the time. The baby was last seen playing with a bucket on the lawn, and while the father was busy with his work, she evidently wandered up a lateral which borders the Connel and Wardle ranches and fell into the stream. The body was recovered from the stream about a quarter of a mile from the home, where it had been carried by the undertow of the water underneath a railroad track. A doctor was hastily summoned and a pulmotor was also immediately brought into service. All that medical science could do was done in the hopes of resuscitating the child. The parents and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee A. Wright of Burley, are distracted over the loss of the little one. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 10 a.m. from the Christian church with Rev. C. M. Reed, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating. Music consisted of a selection by a quartet, from Rupert directed by Rev. Victor Phillips and duet by Mr. and Mrs. Jos. P. Payne. Interment under the direction of Jos. P. Payne was in the Burley city cemetery.
