D. Pace was advised by Oklahoma authorities today that a man known here as Ralph Dotson is Grover Dillingsworth, a fugitive from the state prison at McAlester, Oklahoma. Dotson is in critical condition from a bullet wound in the head. He is accused of critically wounding his common-law wife, Opal, and her friend, Mrs. Nina Moore, when Mrs. Dotson attempted to leave him two weeks ago. Then, Sheriff Pace said Dotson turned the gun on himself, the bullet permanently blinding him. Sheriff Pace received a telegram from R. W. Kenny, prison warden at McAlester, asking that Dillingsworth, alias Tillingsworth, be held as an escapee. "Attempt to kill charges probley will be filed against Dotson here, and he probley will not be surrendered to Oklahoma authorities," Sheriff Pace said. "Dotson does'nt realize anything has happened, but thinks he has been in an automobile accident," the sheriff said. " He keeps asking for Opal". _______________________________ OKLAHOMA CITY, June 1 Grover Dillingsworth, reported held in Burley, Idaho, in connection with a triple shooting, walked away from a road camp at Tuskahoma, April 28, 1935, four months before his five year sentence for auto larceny was to have ended. His home was at Ardmore, Oklahoma. Prison officials said they had communicated with Idaho officers today and planned to return him to Oklahoma if they will release him. Officers here said they were in formed Dillingsworth was using the name of Ralph Dotson in Idaho.
