The Oakley Eagle September 4, 1908
  William Clarence Tanner and Miss Gay Dayley were hooked up in double harness 
yesterday at the home of the brides parents. Justice of the Peace Wm. Moultrie 
officiated. W. C. Tanner is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Tanner, and 
Miss Dayley is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elisha Dayley. The young couple were 
both under age and had to get the consent of their parents before their 
marriage license could be had. The Eagle wishies them long life and a 
prosperouse one.
