Tabernacle over the remains of Perry Fenstermaker who was shipped to Burley Saturday from Salt Lake City where death claimed the pioneer. The deceased was born at Fort Bridger July 12th, 1869 to Mr. and Mrs. Amos Fenstermaker. Amos Fenstermaker came west as a member of Johnsons army and remained in this county. After Mr. and Mrs. Fenstermaker were married they settled on a piece of land south of Oakley and near Grouse creek where they built up a home while the neighbors claimed they would starve to death. By hard work and good business judgement, by both Mr. and Mrs. Fenstermaker, considerable property was accumulated which is an evidence that hard work and fair dealing pays. Two children were adopted by these people and raised as their own who feel that they have lost a loving father. Besides the wife, Francis, a son and Narvella, a daughter, a brother Charles Fenstermaker, of the immediate family, were present at the service. Friends from Grouse creek, Oakley and other parts of the county were among those who attended the service as all who knew Pell, as he was generally known, respected him. Bishop H. o. Hall had charge of the service. The speakers were E. M. Wright, Mr. Richins and Charles Toyne of Grouse Creek. Musical numbers were given by a quartet consisting of Sam Bulkley, Chas Hymas, Mrs. McBride and Mrs. Bulkley; solo by W. Tinsley; solo by Miss Lounsbury. J. B. Breeze, James Devine, A. Judd, J. Lowe, Wm. Gray and R. H. Parish acted as pallbearers. Interment was made in the Pleasant View cemetery.
