 Sunbeam Dam is the only dam ever built on the Salmon River and was dynamited 
in 1934 so the salmon could swim through. Many rapids suround this area and in 
the early floating trip season is used by the float trips, as the water lowers 
floaters are unable to float through here due to the rebarb still exsisting.
