MACKEY HOME SCENE OF RITES

(Special to The Post-Register)

MACKAY, Jan. 2.--The wedding of Miss Maxine Norton, daughter 
of Mrs. Helen Norton, and Rene Pence, son of Mr. and Mrs. 
Charles Pence, both of Mackay, was solemnized at high noon on 
Friday, in the presence of their families and a few intimate friends.

The Rev. Glenn Camper, Baptist minister of Areo officiated and 
Mrs. Ethel Young, grandmother of the groom played the traditional 
wedding march.

The bride was dressed in a bridal gown of white satin with a fingertip 
veil and carried a bouquet of Taliaman roses and white carnation on 
a white Bible. Mrs. Norton was dressed in pink satin and gave the 
bride away. Mrs. Pence was dressed in blue.

The groom was attended by Leroy Ivie.

The bride has been attending Mackay high school and will continue the 
rest of the term.

After a short reception, the couple left on a honeymoon to Sun Valley. 
They will make their home in Mackay.
