At one time my father's parents homesteaded at the base of this hill and my father remembers walking up the hill to the cemetery when he was about five years old (more than 75 years ago) and he remembers the original dirt road which is still there (in between two wheat fields). To get to this cemetery, go to Ashton, Idaho and take the main street through town. Continue past the town until you see a road marker for Highway 32 and then turn right (the Ashton - Marysville Cemetery will be on your left hand side). Follow this road for several gently curving miles, past very nice potato fields and other fine crops until you come to two green street signs (way out in the country!) that say 3900 East Road and 800 North. Turn right and go about 5 tenths of a mile and on the left hand side there is a rutted dirt road that has wheat fields on either side and is going up a hill. Take this road for about 4 tenths of a mile (that is as far as we could make it in our car) and then get out and climb over a barbed wire fence and take a short walk through a wheat field and there you are! (You will see the cemetery and the very nice fences that surround each section when you park your car.) A.
