Woodfield St Anthony Ida--Funeral services for Mrs Sarah Sylvestia Rose Hammond Woodfield, 87, who died Thursday of causes incident to age, will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m., in First Ward Cahpel, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Hansn Mortuary will direct burial in St Anthony Cemetery. Mrs Woodfield was born Sept 7, 1865 at Ogden, Utah, a daughter of Ralph Rose and Sophronia Ann Hammond. She was married to John Woodfield Feb 29., 1888, in Logan Utah, L.D.S. Tample. The couple homesteaded a ranch at Twin Groves inFremont County where they came in 1891. They moved to St Anthony several years ago. Mr. Woodfield died in 1948. She was actuive in L.D.S. Church activities. Surviving are three daughters and a son: Mrs. Mabel Andrasen and Mrs Almina Johnson, St Athony; Mrs. Mary Ann Elvin, Los Angeles, Cal; and Theone Woodfield, San Leandro, Cal; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. ----------------------------------------- Funerals: Sarah Rose Woodfield Final tribute was paid Monday afternoon to Mrs Sarah Rose Woodfield in the St Anthony First ward chapel with Thomas M. Bassett, bishop of the St Anthony First ward officiating. A family prayer before leaving for the services was offered by William Earl Terry. The opening remarks were by Bishop Bassett followed by the invocation by Cy Young, bishop of the Twin Grove ward. Thr Relief Society singing mothers sang "God is Ever Beside Me" accompanied by Mrs Merlyn Powell. Floyd Law, a member of the Yellowstone Stake high council was the first speaker and also gave the obituary. Carma Oliver, a granddaughter accompanied by Mrs Merlyn Powell played a violin solo "I'm a Pilgrim". The concluding speaker was E Glen Cameron and the closing song "Mother Dear" was sung by Mrs Ada Christensen and Vera Loveland accompanied by Mrs Cleova Peterseon. This song was written and composed by Mrs. Woodfield sometime before her death. The benediction was offered by Ralph Richards. The postlude music was played by Mrs Ruth Dowdle on the violin and Mrs Powell at the organ. Interment was in the Wilford Cemetery under the direction of the Hansen Funeral Home and the grave was dedicated by William J Lewis, president of the Yellowstone stake. Pallbearers were Cy Young, Ralph Richards, Joseph Andrasen, Matt Bird, John Farrimond and Floyd Law. Flowers were carried by former neighbors under the direction of Mesdames Mary Jenskins and Veda Smith of the St Anthony First ward Relief Society. ------------------------------- Relatives Attend Funeral Among the relatives from out of town who attended the funeral of Mrs Sarah Woodfield Monday were her son Theone Woodfield of San Leandro, California, Mr and Mrs Wayne Singleton of Brigham City, Utah, Mrs LeVar Oliver of Orem (Utah) and George Rose of Dubois.
