Burdge, member of one of Emmett's pioneer families, died January 31, at his home in Seattle. His sister, Mrs. M. H. Goodman of Boise, preceeding him in death by less than two weeks. Mr. Burdge was 84 years of age and a son of Dr. William C. Burdge who came to Emmett in 1864. He was born at Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, June 11, 1844, and accompanied his parents across the plains by ox team in 1864. They settled in Emmett at what was then known as the Block House. The old Burdge home is located about 2 1/2 miles west of the city. Mr. Burdge is survived by one sister, Mrs. L. Goodrich of Boise, and two half sisters, Mrs. Nora Goodsell of Emmett, and Mrs. C. W.
