Services Held Tues For Pioneer Matron Christina Crawford
  Services for Mrs. Christina Ellen Crawford, 82, who died Saturday, were
conducted in Beatty chapel Tuesday.  The Rev. Kenneth Briggs officiated and
interment was at Riverside.
  Mrs. Christina Ellen Crawford died Saturday night in an Emmett hospital after
a long illness.  The Idahoan was born April 10, 1872, in Tennessee and she lived
in Illinois, Arkansas and Colorado, before moving to Emmett in 1894.  She since
had been a resident of Emmett.
  She was a member of the Baptist church.
  Surviving are five sons:  Willis Crawford, Emmett, Joe, Huntington, Ore.;
Walter, Crouch; Ernest, Priest River, and Cash Crawford, McCall; eight
daughters: Mrs. Nancy Gifford, Montour; Mrs. Della Stees, McCall; Mrs. Hattie
Dealy, Boise; Mrs. Emma Maise, Huntington; Mrs. Alice Marshall, Malott, Wash.;
Mrs. Mary Coulter, Crouch; Mrs. Dorothy Wills, Cascade, and Mrs Rachel Logue,
Garden Valley; and 65 grandchildren and 70 great-grandchildren.

Additional Comments:
Christina Crawford was my maternal grandmother.  She also lived in Laurel County
Kentucky where she met and married her husband, Elisha Jordan Crawford on 5 Nov
1886.  The family spent many years in Valley County (Round Valley).
