She was born Jan. 5, 1876, at Kirbyville, MO., the daughter of Ruth Jane Coggburn Cramer and William H. Cramer. As a young child she lived in Texas and Oregon before the family moved to Idaho, first to Round Valley and then settling north of Ola. She was married December 25, 1894, to Gustave Julius Gross at Ola. He died in 1936 at Emmett. She moved from the Gross ranch on Upper Squaw Creek to a farm west of Emmett in 1926 and had made her home here since. Mrs. Gross was a member of the Methodist Church. Surviving are five sons, William and Orvid, both of Emmett; Gustave and Marvin, both of El Paso, Texas, and Frank of New Plymouth; three daughters, Mrs. Josephine Granger, and Mrs. Hester MacAskill and Mrs. Janie Kimball, both of Emmett; a brother, John Cramer of Gillerest, Ore.; a sister, Mrs. Ruth Gross, New Plymouth; 27 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
