At left, south of the road and on the Checkmate mine is the Jury Boarding House; also on the south side of the road is the Gem Saloon, the Idaho Dress Beef Company, Frank Demant's store and the town well. On the north side of the road (right) is the Odd Fellows Hall, the barber shop, the Pearl Drug Store, Emke Brothers' Saloon, L. R. Walter's Mercantile and the church.
