All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/id/idfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Chris Storey chrissy_7@q.com September 25, 2010, 6:19 pm Times News 23 March 1962 Wall Collapses on Farm; Girl Killed WENDELL, March 23 - Lorie Elizabeth Baldry, 2 1/2-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Loren Baldry, route 1, Wendell, died about 2 a.m. Friday in Gooding Memorial hospital of injuries received in a farm accident at the Clint Dean place at approximately 6 p.m. Thursday. The child had been placed in the milk room in the Dean barn while cows were brought in to milk because the Deans are on vacation. Several cows had been brought in when one animal backed up against a cinderblock wall which divided the cowbarn from the adjoining milk room. The wall collapsed, burying the child under the blocks. Her father dug her out of the debris and rushed her to Gooding Memorial hospital. The child was born June 1, 1959, at Gooding. Survivors include , in addition to her parents, one brother, Wesley, 5 months; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Breece Spencer, Gooding; paternal grandfather, John Baldry, Holden, Mo; maternal great-grandmother, Mrs. Ettie Mink, Wendell. Funeral services are set tentatively for 2 p.m., Monday at Thompson chapel, Gooding. Last rites will be held in the Elmwood cemetery.
