James Franklin "Frank" Henslee
Hagerman

James Franklin "Frank" Henslee, 77, of Hagerman, a prominent sheep and 
cattleman, passed away Sunday, Aug. 22, 1993, in a Twin Falls hospital from an 
extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, at the Hagerman 
Christian Center. Burial will follow in the Hagerman Cemetery.
Frank was born Oct. 12, 1915, at Ozark, Mo., a son of William and Ida Bell 
Tabor Henslee. He moved to Hagerman in 1926 with his parents, six brothers and 
three sisters, and where one brother was later born. He attended school in the 
Hagerman and Buhl area. He graduated from Hagerman High School in 1934.
He married Alice Vader Henslee on Oct. 12, 1939, at the home ranch, where they 
continued to live. Frank and Alice were married 53 wonderful years.
Frank was very active in ranching and livestock, and was an active member of 
the Hagerman School Board, being chairman for 15 years. Frank, his son and two 
grandsons recieved the Fisheries Enchantment Award in 1989. In March of 1990, 
he was inducted into the Idaho Livestock Hall of Fame.
He was a member of Odd Fellows Lodge #57, Hagerman; and a member of the Idaho 
Wool Growers Association.
Survivors include his wife, Alice of Hagerman; a son and his wife, Jim and 
Kathy Henslee of Hagerman; five brothers and their wives, Wayne and Faith of 
Wendell, Cleo and Florence of Hope, Idaho, Lynn and Carolyn and Glenn and 
Marilyn of Kingsburg, Calif., and Reynold and Jane of Boise; three sisters and 
their husbands, Irene and Chester Glauner of Bonners Ferry, Florence and Floyd 
Tracy of Caldwell, and Jean and Perry Hansen of Lake Wales, Fla.; two 
grandsons and their wives, Mike and Lisa, and Mark and Brenda; four 
grandaughters, Mary, Melissa, Mecale, and Mindy; three great-grandchildren, 
Cali, Cody, and Talyn; and several nieces and nephews; - all of whom he 
enjoyed, supported and loved very much. He was preceded in death by his 
parents; two brothers in infancy; and brothers, Del and Dick.
Friends may call today from 1 to 7 p.m. at Demaray's Wendell Chapel.
