He was born June 25, 1883, at Ketchum and came to Sand Springs in Hagerman valley in 1885 with his parents. His family homesteaded here and he attended schools in Hagerman valley and Shoshone. On Nov. 28, 1907, he married Ona E. (Elizabeth) Dilatush on the Buckeye ranch, which her parents had homesteaded. He lived here all his life, raising sheep and cattle and remained active until about a month ago. Mr. Vader attended the Hagerman Methodist church and was a charter member of the Hagerman Masonic lodge No. 78, AF and AM and also a charter member of the Eastern Star lodge No. 78. Mr. Vader belonged to the Scottish Rite and El Korah temple, both Boise. He was a member of the Idaho Livestock association, Idaho Woolgrowers association, and Idaho Cattlemen's association. Survivors include his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Maurice (Louise) Bevins, Ketchum, and Mrs. Frank (Alice) Henslee, Hagerman; three grandchildren, James Henslee, Hagerman; LeRoy Bevins, Boise, and Mrs. Jerry (Evelyn) Steele, Ketchum, and two great-grandaughters. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the Hagerman Methodist church by the Rev. Austin G. Rugger. Masonic rites will be conducted at the Hagerman cemetery. Friends may call at Thompson chapel, Gooding, from 10 a.m. Thursday until 11 a.m. Friday. Contributions are suggested to the Hagerman Methodist church organ fund in care of Mrs. Robert Gaston.
