Sheriff Bud Taylor said Mrs. Cash's death was from a self-inflicted wound from a .22 caliber pistol. She had been despondent because of poor health in recent months. Her body was found by her husband in an adjoining room when he awoke Monday morning. She was born January 12, 1904, Julia Melissa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Shinn of Canfield. She spent her early life at the family home. Mrs. Cash married Joseph Elmer Cash November 13, 1924, and most of her married life was spent at Canfield, Ferdinand and near White Bird. She was member of the White Bird Rebecca Lodge. Mrs. Cash is survived by her husband at home, a son, Roy, Canfield; three sisters, Mrs. Judith Doumecq, Prosser, Washington; Mrs. Frankie Ryan, Auburn, Washington, and Mrs. Flecie Ryan, Lewiston, Idaho. There also are two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at two at the Robertson Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Prairie View Cemetery. Dr. Guy Roberts, pastor of the Community church, will officiate.
