She attended schools in Idaho at Clearwater Valley and Grangeville. She became the wife of Ray Wilson in 1961 and began her adventurous life on a sheep ranch in Hells Canyon. During this time she was blessed with two sons and a daughter. After the Forest Service forced them off of their land in 1973, they became cattle ranchers in Halfway, Ore. In 1980 she moved with her family to a new ranch in Baker, Ore. In addition to ranching she also worked at Bohns clothing store. In 1988 she gave up ranching for a short period and they moved to Sisters, Ore. After two years there, they were back ranching in the Lewiston/Asotin area.
