Death was due to acute coronary thrombosis. She had undergone major surgery a week before and was to have been released in a few days. She was born July 8, 1885 in Benton county, Arkansas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Earp. The family came to Idaho in 1889, locating near Mount Idaho where she attended school. She was married to Ira Hindman in Grangeville on July 13, 1904 and they had since made their home at Mount Idaho. Surviving relatives include her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Thelma Schmadeka, Grangeville; two sisters, Mrs. H.F. Gerlock, Eugene Oregon and Mrs. Frank Zehner, Grangeville; five brothers; Jay, Blufred, Lindsley, Fred and Irvie Earp of Grangeville; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. One son was killed in action in Europe in World War II. Funeral services were held Saturday June 18, at 2 o'clock at the Robertson Chapel with the Rev. John F. Rice officiating. Mrs. Esther Henry furnished the music. Pallbearers were Lester Earp, Kenneth Earp, Ivan Earp, Maurice Hindman, and Jo Ben Zehner, all nephews of the deceased. Burial was in Mount Idaho Cemetery.
